What a wonderful idea! Why not try using natural convection currents to save on fan electricity, the top edge would be hottest especially due to the angle the panel is on. I bet the air is much hotter on the outside edge too, how much heat is being wasted being reemitted? You can siphon /circulate the hottest air from the outside panel too. Is there such thing as a one way greenhouse coating for the film to block thermal heat from escaping but allow it to pass in from sunlight? would a concave shape minimise reflections of the sunlight? Would increasing surface area of your corrugated sheet on the inside AKA a heatsink allow better transfer of heat?

would it be possible to maximize the surafce area without covrring a large portion of the sun. like if you want to cool more than the space you have. i have been thinking a sort of a flower design. if the infrared heat that is supposed to go directly into the sky instead hits another surface of the same paint than would it still work. i think there would be some loss but not that much compared to the convinience of having the thing be compact. also what if you sandwich the paint between two layers of that plastic layer that is used to cover the paint from the outside air convecting the paints surface too much. if you did that eould you be getting twice the surface area compared to the normal setup? sorta like a lotus plant design it would look pretty awesome to. you could fit a lot of surface area if the efficie cy drop is not that much. i think the idea is good enough but the problem would be making the petals leaves what ever those plants have . you could make it a strict box design but that will have stiff right angles which might not work as well. this feels like something you might have already considered. which makes me think it might not work. so the two maib questions are how much would the efficiency be worse. i read somwehre dont remember where that lets say you have the paint on the ground directly facing the sky the paint only emits the infrared in a cone shape from the paints surface. and they get worse at sending it at steeper and steeper angles. so it would have to be sorta a lotus look a like. also would sandwiching the paint between two layers of plastic would that really double the surface area even if its less effiicient since the paint would have to the stading up right ? origami lotus. i think this could work. i just need to know a little what you think of it. i have watched this video too many times and cant get any info on any of these questions i guess the only way is to just make the stuff.

Hello! I don't know if this will get seen, but when I tried, the powder flashed a bit too quick. I mixed the 4/2/1 weight ratio of potassium nitrate/sulfur/lampblack, but the powder in the sparker burns quite quickly, almost as if it was black powder ratios. If whats left falls off, it does turn molten and emit sparks, but the violent start sometimes knocks off a bit of the powder. Any suggestions to make the mixture less flammable? Also! the spark pattern does not follow the traditional 3 stages. ALSOALSO, the powder is definitely grayer than what you have

Another outstanding video Ben! While watching, I started thinking about other ways to evenly apply the wax mixture and my first thought was to somehow spray it on while the wax was still a liquid. I did a quick Google search and found a few spray guns designed specifically for spraying hot wax. So now I'm pondering different ideas for a DIY version....Maybe modifying a cheap sandblaster kit since the nozzle and tank are usually metal, meaning more options for heating the wax and for cleanup. Or maybe using the nozzle + heating element from a hot glue gun to help ensure the wax is sprayed out in liquid form. I would love some feedback/suggestions from yourself or others.
